The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a professional football team currently competing in the National Football League, will not have their top two receivers in week 8. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin have been ruled out ahead of week 8.

Both the players received gruesome injuries which have made it impossible for them to compete anymore with the Atlanta Falcons, who will have their biggest game with Tampa Bay to date at Raymond James Stadium.

On Monday night, Evan suffered a hamstring injury and went down during their match with the Baltimore Ravens, which ultimately led to their defeat. Evan won’t be able to make a comeback until the 11th week.

As for Chris Godwin, he suffered a gruesome ankle injury late in the fourth quarter and has been placed on the injured reserve list.

Without a doubt, Evans and Godwin have been arguably the NFL’s top wide receiver duo over the last few seasons. Their principal role is to catch forward passes from the quarterback, the main question is who will take their place in this ultimate big loss of the team. According to the reports, Jarrett’s activation probably will give the Bucs five receivers to work with against the Falcons. He joins Jalen McMillan, Trey Palmer, Sterling Shepard, and Ryan Miller. Furthermore, Miller was just promoted from the practice squad earlier in the week.

Now, in Tampa Bay’s face-off for week 8, Atlanta Falcons, have been able to take a position to make the playoffs for the first time in six years.  The team caught another big break entering Sunday’s NFC South showdown. Moreover, the Falcons had earlier narrowly defeated the Buccaneers in overtime when these two teams faced off in Week 5.

Even though both the teams have lost a handful of players due to injuries, Tampa Bay is still at the vulnerability as it had never played any game before their wide receivers.
