The First Descendant Follow Their Traces

Launched in 2024 by Nexon, The First Descendant is relatively new, and thus the players often struggle to figure out the endless quests.

One such mission that’s been recently boggling players is the Bunny’s quest, named Follow Their Traces, which requires them to find her parent’s records on the southern cliff.

To help the players with the quest, here I’ve listed a quick rundown of the required steps to complete The First Descendant Follow Their Traces. So, let’s take a look!

The First Descendant: Overview

The First Descendant is a free-to-play multiplayer RPG looter shooter game developed and published by Nexon Korea Corporation, released on 2 July 2024.

The game is about players taking on the role of ‘Descendants’, who have mysterious powers. These mighty beings have become humanity’s only hope to fight against the hostile Vulgus, an invasive alien race.

As players advance through the game as descendants, they are tasked with missions in the Albion, the place where they receive the main quests, to fight against the invaders and protect the ‘Ingris continent’.

After one week of its release, it reached a player count of over 10 million. Users also claim that the free-to-play game is buried under a pile of monotonous quests, making it lose the initial charm.

The First Descendant Follow Their Traces Quest

The First Descendant Follow Their Traces is a Bunny quest where you need to find records of her parents in the Sterile Land’s Restricted Zone to see what they were doing in such a dangerous place.

It’s the first literal quest task you will get after a long line of missions that only involve talking with the people of Albion.

Getting to the southern ridge is very difficult, and finding the record’s locations isn’t easy either when you have too little of a clue, which is that they’re near some cliffs and a High-Powered Jammer.

How to Complete Follow Their Traces in the First Descendant?

Here, I’ve listed the exact records that will show you where you need to head to complete Follow Their Traces:

  1. First, you need to unlock the Sterile Land region after progressing through the main quests in the story, regardless of whether you have the Bunny as a descendant or not.

  1. Once you unlock the Sterile Land region, you must complete the purple quest icons to unlock the Repository region.
  1. Then, once you get to the Repository region, complete the purple quests to unlock the Restricted Zone.
  1. Head to the Restricted Zone and move to the bottom left corner, near the High-Powered Jammer mission. You are not required to do that mission; just head to the quest, as the clue says that faint signals are coming from the cliff close to the facility, near the high-powered jammer.
  1. Go to the point on the cliffs on the map. Here, you will find a journal with an option to ‘Check Records.’ It’s on the edge of the cliff and is very small; hence, you can use the image below as a reference. There are no enemies in this area, so you don’t need to be worried about fighting anyone to pick the journal.

  1. Pick the journal, open the journal Tab on your menu, and select Records. Under the Descendant menu, you will be able to find all the records you have managed to pick up till now. Then, select the descendant record, Emergency Communication Record, Agent Cayden Voltia, and listen to it.
  1. This will unlock the new mission, “I Bet There’s Something More,”  which is completed by talking to Alpha back in Albion.

Through these records, you will be able to find that Bunny’s parents were looking for suspicious targets in that area. However, Bunny says that this is unusual, as her parents were never assigned such tasks.

Looking at the hints and the strong enemy surveillance, you will realize that someone is moving a large chunk of goods, and thus her parents are having a hard time staying discreet.

This part also revealed some personal things about Bunny, like how she always wanted a teddy bear when she was a kid and how it was her mother’s love for rabbits that she got the name Bunny.

With that, you can freely explore the land and seek Void Fragments for rare mods and gear, which are good for Bunny.

The First Descendant’s Bunny Overview

Bunny The First Descendant images

Bunny is a descendant character in the game who has a Nuker role with the electric descendant attribute.

She is called a dealer of continuous damage as she sprints while discharging electricity. The more she runs, the greater electrical energy she gathers, allowing her to release this energy in a mighty shockwave.

Her passive and active skills include:

  • Shoots out electricity forward to impose damage. Damage intensity increases in proportion to skill duration.
  • Can summon an Electro Orb to attack nearby enemies and inflict them with an Electrocute effect.
  • As her sprint speed increases significantly, she acquires more electricity.

Wrapping Up!

This was all for the quest guide to Follow Their Traces. This Bunny’s quest is pretty simple, so you won’t possibly have any problems with advancing through the above-listed steps.
